There is a very good reason for me to roleplay, and I hardly share the true reason to others even my closest friends and family.
My life isn't perfect but I love all I have right now. Being selfish and trace my ultimate goal seems unrealistic, well, may be I will but in my next life.

I think the American obsession with beauty before brains prevails in all their media. The fact Bioware ignored marketing Femshep meant they did not try to stereotype her. We can already see with the ME3 Femshep marketing the hot dumb teenage blonde is taking over. The default Femshep is standing right here on the top left corner of your screen :)
I agree with you that Femshep will live on long after ME3. Although I still hope some variety of Mass Effect will return. I'm holding out for Shepard's daughter or grand daughter. Setting it a hundred or two hundred years after ME3 would mean they have a clean slate with the end of ME3 being irrelevent (after all how often does the effects of World War II come into our daily lives for discussion). Casey Hudson's comments that this would not be repeated because ME is too expensive does sadly reduce my hopes. However, without new games then I think interest in other ME merchandise will suffer and Bioware will lose out.
So whilst I eagerly await ME3 I do so with some sadness. It has been part of my life for number of years but I am sure my Claire will look forward to a much deserved retirement and settle down with Liara and have a hundred blue babies :)
