What is FEMSHEP.COM?

femshep.com is a network devoted to the female incarnation of Commander Shepard from the Mass Effect game franchise.  The network exists in part because she gets little attention from BioWare and is almost never seen in promotional material.  The network is also a place for fans to gather and talk about the character, share modding tips, photos, videos and other media they have created. 

Who is Commander Shepard?
Commander Shepard is the main protagonist in the video game series, Mass Effect.  Shepard can be either male or female and have many backgrounds and skills.  Male Shepard is voiced by Mark Meer.  Female Shepard is voiced by Jennifer Hale.  The first Mass Effect game was released in 2007.  Mass Effect 2 was released in 2010.  Both received critical and commercial success. Mass Effect 3 is scheduled to be released this Holiday, 2011. 

Can anyone be a member?

Yes, however this is a network devoted to femShep. If you are looking for general Mass Effect fan sites, check out N7 Academy and Mass Effect Info.

Are you associated with BioWare?

No. We are just a group of fans you play and admire femshep.  Commander Shepard and the Mass Effect IP are owned by BioWare and EA. 

Photos: What kind of photos can I post on the femshep.com network? 

All photos and art must be your own property.  Please do not steal someone's  work and call it your own. You may submit game screenshots or original art.  Photos submitted MUST contain female Shepard. 

Videos: What kind of videos can I post on the femshep.com network?

All videos must be your own property. Please do not steal someone's  work and call it your own.
You may submit game video footage in original form or in artistically altered videos. Here is an example of a couple of artistically altered videos.

Fanfic: What kind of fan fiction can I post on the femshep.com network?
All fan fiction must be your own property. Please do not steal someone's  work and call it your own.
You may submit fiction in its entireity or provide links to your fanfic.net page. Fan fiction submitted MUST contain female Shepard or it must be about her in some way.Please adhere to all ratings.

Can I bash ManShep and Mark Meer?

No.  Mark Meer is a very talented voice actor and deserves his praise. Many of our members play both male and female versions of Shepard, though most here prefer the female version.  If you are looking to bash or rudely criticize anyone, please go elsewhere.
