A Falling Death

Blasts many explosions around me I feel the heat of the fire burn its way up my body. I see the orangish flames engulf me it sallows me whole before I know it everything this falling. Nothing to hold onto just the wide open space behind me . Before I know it the Normandy falls behind I see the ship that has become my home these last couple of months being blow in to pieces . I hear Joker calling my name as I fade into the depths of space I closed my eyes hes safe jokers safe I thought . In the distance I see the escape pods flying off into the distance all I care about the crew is safe thats all that matters I smile a little watching them make there way to safety while I'm twisting in mid air falling faster . This is how it ends I thought I close my eyes I knew deep inside of me I didn't want to die but to save Joker and the rest of my crew I had to make sacrifice for them . I made my choice there was no going back now . Something sizzled behind me I heard the noise the read lights in my suit lit up . The AI voice in helmet spoke " Oxygen levels dropping 2 mins before its depleted " My heart pounded deep within my chest I could hear its thudding . I tried to breath but now air came my chest tightened . My eyes went wide with fear I gasped no oxygen entered my lungs my body shook I felt the burning pain in my throat I reached up to my neck I struggled my body twisted back and forth craving for the sweet air that would keep me alive . But it was gone . I began to feel my mind go slipping into the darkness it felt right I couldn't fight anymore before I knew it I was falling into the nothing . I was falling to my death .
